finally cutting my long hair and donating it | bilingual hakka vlog
Переглядів 2 тис.2 роки тому
hello friends~ Yes yes yes, I finally took the plunge and went to the 'kapper', as they say here in the Netherlands and cut my hair short. It went by sooo quickly and the lady who cut my hair is very skilled in what she does (and she's funny too). As I said in the video, I do want to continue making more hakka videos, but I don't have the time and capacity to add subtitles for now, so I hope me...

the vlogs are back! Hello friends, I'm happy to be back, vlogging to my heart's content. I realised I really missed making videos, but now having a full time job means I don't have as much time to edit, so I hope you don't mind the more simple, no background music, slightly rough cuts, kind of vlog. I actually quite like it. It's very, real (for a lack of better word). I hope you are well and s...

hi~ I filmed this video in late 2021 and somehow never ended up uploading it, but today I reopened Final Cut Pro and watched it and actually really like it, so here it is. 2021 was my year of crochet, and believe it or not, now in 2022 I've picked up knitting. It's been really fun, so I hope you'll enjoy this type of content. It feels good to be back and sharing bits of my life and interests wi...

hello~ I can't believe my last video was posted three months ago. If you've been eagerly waiting, I want to thank you for your patience. My life has changed recently. I'm working full time now as a physiotherapist and it's taking up quite a bit of time and energy, so that's why I haven't been able to make new videos. But, in the beginning of November, I got to meet up with my dear friend Zi (wh...
LEARN HAKKA WITH ME || PREPOSITIONS FOR LOCATION (above, below, near, next to etc.)

hello friends~ it feels like it's been forever since i last uploaded a video. to be honest, i've been spending most of my time crocheting (hehe), but i also don't know what kind of videos i want to make anymore. but i'm sure i'll get out of this whirlpool and come back refreshed and energised. i hope you are well and that this little video was if not fun, a bit educational. sending love, M.
I love the sock colors !!!!
You could probably turn the failed hat into a knit project bag pretty easily. There are many patterns for it on Ravelry. If you don't like using cotton yarn and still have some in stash, you could use it up to crochet or knit a bag or bandana. There are some gorgeous free and paid for patterns as well. The vest looks great btw :)
Thank you so much for making and sharing your videos teaching Hakka. My parents were born in Guandung. I learned some Hakka from at home. Thank you so much for teaching it on line.
Glad there are more Hakka people trying to preserve the language. Even my cousins in china don’t speak it even though I live in the Netherlands I speak it fluently.
很好,請多多推廣客家話。
I loved this video, it reminds me of my own “Hakka”, but not Chinese… it is “Bislama” (which I speak fluently) from Islands of Vanuatu. I usually need to fly "back home” to adoptive family to speak it, but the language is as colorful as “Hakka” seems to be. I look forward to all your videos on Hakka… to impress whom I hope will become my girlfriend - lol Either way, nothing wrong with a Guei-Lo who can speak some Hakka, right ?
Can you & Intl Hakka Assic.(?) starry a great up to produce translation of Hakka dialects by hand held portable translation machines or translation programs like Google translatior ? Thus, you could easily spread Hakka to overseas Hakka communities & indugudyaks, & to random? persons among foreigners of Chinese who 1st start with Mandarin/ Putonghua m, then want to learn about other Chinese dialects.
Correction- World Hakka Congress to ask for co operation + producing Hakka translation machines &/or programs. Good luck!! (In Hakka = ??)
Hakka in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia sounds more similar to your Suriname Hakka than to the Sabah, Malaysia's Hakka. 😂😂
Snap. My family are from the New Territories in Hong Kong and our dialect of Hakka is the same as yours. However it's not difficult to understand all dialects. I am born in the UK and all Hakka people here speak the same dialect however many choose to speak Cantonese instead ☹️
Ngai hair Hakka ngin!
I have same ancestral town with you… my ancestor from Youganpu village, Fenggang town, Dongguan…
Good day. I'm just asking. Is this moiyan Hakka?
I'm from Sabah. Your Hakka is almost the same as the Hakka here!
khek lang❤
thanks.
Thank you for your really interesting and insightful video! My ancestors, who were Hakka people too fled war 400 years ago from Guangdong China to an island called Tung Ping Chau in Hong Kong. The island was inhabited until 1970s. And they developed a subdialect of Hakka, which really sounds similar to Surinamese Hakka. I assume because of the similarity of the tones, words and structures that the migration wave of your ancestors could be during the same time. Thank you for uploading this great video! ♥🤗🌺
Greetings, I'm Xuei Liang, a Hakka from Indonesia, I want to get to know other Hakka people from abroad
Can you meet other Hakka people?
Hakka in kalimantan have 2 style,, soft and hard,,,
, some kalimantan or borneo people speak those hakka,, but slightly different..
Hi, I’m Hakkanese. I speak Hakka, but not too fluent in term of vocabulary. Just wanting to give some input about Hakka 客家. Basic translation is guest house. But it probably could be translated as guest family as jia (家) could also be translated as family. But it’s just my opinion. Please advise if there are some other different options. Cheers,
Michell, have you read my message ?
Omg, Saigon. Vietnam 我是越南华人
Thank you very much , In my contry (Réunion Iland) therre lot of people comes from Hakka contry
Thanks for letting me hitchhike along on your trip!!
Ngai gon gay he ngai wa, mo he hakka wa.
Could "waist, hip" be "jau" ( 腰 ) ? This word is also identical to "kidney"
It's interesting that in my Hakka variant, "front" is "mien chien" ( 面前 ), the word order is reversed from yours
There is a word for million in Hakka (pronounced "thiau" in my dialect), the character is 兆
5:01 you are correct, if you say only "lai" it means soil or mud (in my dialect it is pronounced "nai")
Very interesting video, I happen to speak yet a different variant
涯系客家人
hey sis, are you still teaching hakka?
Your knit podcasts are interesting and enjoyable to watch. 👍🏽

Hola///// #Greetings/////
Aiyaah your boy friend is a lansie pau😂😂

I am learning Hakka from you. I hope you do more videos if you can. Thanks for sharing.
Hey, how do you tell a time in Hakka? Please😢
I just discovered your channel, it's fun to see all of the Hakka videos. Where does your Hakka originate from? My partner's parents are from Lai Chi Wo, and your Hakka sounds the same or very similar to my ears.
Pee- 闻,smell& chee-试 try are Hokien words as well. So Hakka is a mixed of Hokien & Cantonese words.I heard the Chaozhou-Teochew Hakka use the word kai for 的-possesive particle , same as Teochews.
Hello! Could you do your future knitting podcasts in Hakka? It sounds like a mysterious language for me, I like hearing it 😊.
